Memoir Writing & Your Legacy

Memoir Writing

Memoir writing is great for people who want to leave a legacy of values and stories to their loved ones and others who can benefit from a life well-lived. Many people are intimidated or feel inadequate to express themselves authentically, relevantly, and to convey their feelings towards loved ones. It is hard to summarize and reflect on life in a way that can be well received and treasured.

But why wait to express your values and stories to loved ones? Legacy should not just be when we have passed on but can be expressed moving forward.

"The hardest part of writing a memoir is putting pencil to paper or, if you will, finger to key. Jeff not only got me started but guided the process to achieve a meaningful manuscript. It started with him asking me to define the audience. He then interviewed members to ask what they would like. From there we created an outline which served to guide our organization as we began work as "co-authors." It could not have been a more enjoyable and productive process. It's always a pleasure to work with an experienced, true professional which Jeff is in every sense of the word."

"Jeff gave me fantastic advice on my book project - I particularly valued his insights into how the publishing world works. Jeff brings together in one place his own experiences publishing many books, years as a marketing consultant and professor of marketing, editorial acumen, and a deeply humanist approach to what writing can be. It has been years since we worked on my book, and I refer back to his advice almost daily."
